A simple scene but it evokes a summer day for me.
This is from a workshop with watercolor artist Keiko Tanabe. She also took the source photo,
I'm not in love with this painting, but it is the first time I tried an interior scene.
A still life. The challenge was the draped fabric. I think it turned out ok.
I really like this painting. I love the sky and the colors and structure f the mountaing and landscape in general.
From a photo taken on a walk along the cliffside in Mendocino California. As is usual along the Pacific coast the atomosphere was misty.

It's sailing season on Lake Michigan!
